Back to Square 1 with US. Somewhere things got all screwed up. We human beings are one species in a big, lonely universe full of challenges, but we’ve worked our way into a deadend of being divided and opposed. Doesn’t make sense when you step back and think about it. We need each other. So whether you’re thinking global conflict, domestic politics, or the tension in your own office or home there is unlearning to do so we can get back to square one and relearn how to live with one another.

The challenge of a maze is that when you get stuck you can’t just push on, you have to go back to where you turned wrong and start fresh. That describes our situation with God pretty well. Human beings got a few inklings of what God was like from what they could understand and ran with it. Now we’re in a corner with an image of God that just doesn’t work or make much sense. It’s time to back up to square one and explore again.

They avoid it because that real, raw person inside is fragile and sensitive. We all know what it’s like to risk something in public just to be criticized, judged or laughed at. Who wants that? How can we develop the strength to show up even when we know we might be somebody’s lunch? Let’s talk about how we can build up our worthiness to stand up to the fears that try to undermine it.

The Power of Being ALL There (part 1) – It’s one thing, and it’s a big one, to just get where you are supposed to be. Yet there is something enormously different when you show up with your whole self. The world doesn’t need more mannequins, it needs more wholehearted people bringing their whole selves to the scene. Showing up that way is a lot harder than it might seem. It’s worth wrestling with.
