Together: We Had No Idea (Greg Meyer, Field 2011-01-09)

It's amazing I have any close relationships left, I walked into most of them so unprepared. What, you too? So it's time for a little help. There's lots of advice out there, just check any grocery check out. What could a church add to this? Well, maybe that you aren't doing this alone. Living, working, playing together in satisfying and fulfilling ways doesn't start with you and your ability to get good at it. It is grounded in a deep, deep love that God has for you. You have the ability to dwell in a love that flows on from you. We mean it! And we do this together. Join a couple 100 people who are ready to quit pretending and putting up with what they've gotten out of their relationships to this point.

Merry Christmas everyone!

Why do the best of times turn out to be the worst of times bringing out the worst in me? It shouldn't matter who Uncle Bill voted for, that no one in my spouse's family likes me, or even that everyone at my office party gets drunk at the 'Holiday Party.' There has to be a way around that other than sitting it all out. So if I have to spend time with people I'd rather not, maybe Christmas can redeem my time with them, rather than my time with them ruining my Christmas. Now that would restore a little sanity to the time and space I share with people over these holy-days!

Rally to Restore Sanity to Christmas: I won't go broke (Peter, 2010-12-12)

Sunday Dec 12, 2010
"This Christmas, I WON'T GO BROKE!" Let's take a hard look at why our spending so easily soars out of control during the holidays. And this includes more than the presents we wrap up for our friends and families, it's also about the parties, the decorations, the year-end donation appeals and on and on. If God comes into this world to shine a light on the things that really matter, then how can we keep all these expenses and commitments from blocking out the light? Let's explore some ways to let that light shine when we need it most.

Rally to Restore Sanity to Christmas: I won't be too busy (Greg, 2010-12-05)

Say it with me, "This Christmas, I WON'T BE TOO BUSY TO ENJOY IT!" Okay, I totally agree, it's a lot easier said than done. I've tried to slow down for the season before and you probably have too. So give up? Can't be done? Come on! We're not helpless. We can do more with these holy-days of Christmas than cram everything in. It's still early and there is still time to get the season better than we have for years. Let's figure out a few things that trip us up, practice dwelling in The Story and take the pledge together to restore a little sanity to Christmas!

Saints... turn into martyrs (Greg, 2010-11-14)

And you know what that means; they end up dying because of what they believe. Admirable, I'm sure, but not exactly the career path I've always looked forward to. But is this 'saintly characteristic' just about dying? Or is it about the willingness to live for something bigger than your own survival? That makes sense to me, because while I hope to never have to die for anything, I sure hope I have the courage to live for something.

Saints... do miracles (Peter, 2010-11-07)
Sunday Nov 07, 2010
Sunday Nov 07, 2010
There are some pretty amazing (and some pretty hard to believe) stories that come from the legends and tales of those who've become known among the saints. But God still works through the hearts and hands of people like you and me to accomplish some truly amazing things. Let's spend some time together and consider how to add the title "Miracle Worker" after the name on your business card.

Just Start: Given To Our Hands (Dawn, 2010-10-17)

Looking for something more, something beyond yourself? Looking for God? What if in our efforts to find that elusive 'something more', we're overlooking the most obvious places of all. What if, in a sense, we're breathing God, walking on God, and eating and drinking God? What if the tree-huggers among us (maybe even you?) have always known about this 'something' that the rest of us are just trying to figure out.
While I don't think a tree is God, there is something about a tree that makes it worth hugging. And there is something about a tree (and dirt and water and air and...) that makes it worth a great sacrifice, even beyond the time when 'going green' is in vogue. Let's figure out together how we can live 'green' in and out of season.
