Greg Meyer & Heidi EspositoWhether you think your life is shambles or you’re doing pretty well, I doubt you hope you’ve reached the top and will never grow anymore. We all want to grow, God hopes we will grow, the world needs us to grow, but it doesn’t always happen. Opportunities come and we miss them, or we seize them only for the moment and let them slip into the past. Jacob’s Well is sort of like a big family of people who can help each other find those special moments, transitions and possibilities that we might miss or dismiss and hang on to them. It’s good for all of us. It’s ROPE.

Those choices significantly impact the health of the chooser and the entire planet. That's real. That's complex. That's overwhelming, but it doesn’t have to spoil your dinner. Choosing what’s on your plate is also an opportunity to discover how food can really work; for you, your household, your community, our planet. So let’s do some learning, and discover ways to support each other in making choices that fill all our plates well.

September 14: What's On Your Plate? Trucks!

The wealthy of the world (yes, that includes us)
have spent decades assembling a food production and distribution system that
gives us whatever we want, whenever we want it, from wherever it comes, at the
price we want. Great…except it is bad for us, hurting our planet and leaving
billions hungry. Let’s avoid the easy answers and finger pointing and start creating
a ‘what’s next’ that reflects being the stewards of the earth God has called us
to be. #WOYP 

September 7: What's On Your Plate? Crops!

“What’s On Your Plate?”The answer is… FOOD! It isn’t just something to put in your mouth, it is what fuels your body, and more. Food is your network of relationships with friends & family, global neighbors, nature and the planet itself. They are all on your plate, like it or not, and in it all is God. What’s on your plate matters so we’re biting off a chunk to give you something to chew on all month. Our kids are doing the same and so is GroupLife. Today we start with where your food starts – crops. Thanks for being Jacob’s Well with us today!

If you had a break from the deluge of the have-to-do's of life this
summer, reality is about to hit. The question may be "How will you let it
hit?" You can't stop it and you will never get it quite right, and God
doesn't expect you to. God would love to work with you to let it all make
sense, however. We're talking about that.

Walter Mitty is a dreamer, but the problem is his dreams are locked in
the prison of his mind - they never see the light of day. Then
everything changes when Walter begins to take the risks necessary to
make dreams reality. We've all got dreams. God has dreams for us,

GODFLIX: Lego Movie 8/17/14

One of the biggest hits of this year, The Lego Movie is the most special, most interesting, most extraordinary movie ever made...about Legos. Actually, this hilarious movie is much more than a crowd-pleaser for kids and adults.  It's like a Brave New World meets The Matrix meets Toy Story.  In this message we'll be exploring some of the surprisingly deep questions the movie raises about our roles on earth and the blurry line between ordinary people and extraordinary lives. You just might leave feeling like everything is awesome.
