Fabric Podcast
Welcome to the Fabric podcast! Fabric is a thoughtful, progressive experiment in being church, based in South Minneapolis. We love hosting space where curiosity, connection, and inclusive belonging have space to stretch out and get comfy. Take the time you need to explore what we’re about, and when you’re ready, connect however feels best. The conversation is always fresh! Fabric is church, for the rest of us. #FabricMpls

The Long Haul: Capacity
Sunday Sep 16, 2018
Sunday Sep 16, 2018
Capacity: The Importance of Others - The Long Haul journey to a life that matters and lasts is made of many steps. In fact, not just many steps, many feet. That’s right, one of the first discoveries is that you cannot do it alone. You were never intended to. Life is a together journey, not a by myself one. You know that already, but living that way is hard. Greg and Melissa lead us in this conversation about our hang-ups and conflicts with having the capacity for the Long Haul.

The Long Haul: Discovery
Sunday Sep 09, 2018
Sunday Sep 09, 2018
Discovery: What is life for the long haul? We all know what to do for today, but finding the time, energy, maybe the money is overwhelming. And then you get to do it all over again tomorrow. And the day after… That may be what life feels like, but is it what life is about? For millennia some have stepped out of the current, taken a look, and said no. Life for the long haul is different than life for right now. As we intentionally live into our new name, Fabric, and start our fall of busy-ness, taking a look at life for the long haul feels just right.

Weaving Deeper

Sunday Sep 02, 2018
We will have been Jacob’s Well for 12 years on Sept 17 and that’s about to change! As a community solely focused on our mission everything that doesn’t move us that direction is negotiable… even our name. We’ve been talking about a new name for about 9 months and we have one. This week we shared our new name and how it can help us be the community we want to be even better. Thanks for being Jacob’s Well, er… whatever…, with us!

Godflix: Coco
Sunday Aug 19, 2018
Sunday Aug 19, 2018
August 19-Coco: “Coco” was the animated highlight of the last year. Not only is it fun and touching, it also drives home important messages about remembering who we are and from where we came. It also helps us understand our own path and how to not be an obstacle to those whose paths differ from ours. Greg Meyer and Maia Dalager dig into Coco and were also joined by Minneapolis marketer and entrepreneur, Thom Sandberg, as he tells us about his recent project, “SecondLifeDay.”
