Let’s try it another way: The “Wow” of your money is that it can not only pay the bills and afford you some nice things, but it can help you shape the world more like you sense the world should look. We don’t get to this stage with our money easily, however. Let’s talk about what it takes and how it happens.

February 19 – FREE MONEY would never solve all your problems. A budget and a get-out-of-debt plan would help, but they won’t entirely solve the problem either. That’s because it isn’t just about the money you have or don’t have, it’s about your unique story and predisposition towards it. You’ll need to come to grips with those before money will start serving you, instead of you dancing to its demands. It’s time to start setting yourself FREE from MONEY!

FREE MONEY sounds so tempting, and it should be, not because it would let you have enough, but because if you could free money from all the games you play with it you might just find a whole new perspective on life. From our years working and living together as a community one of the biggest problem areas we’ve noticed is money. It messes up just about everything. It’s time to talk and put money in it’s place so you can go on living.

Because it Hurts: Money How is it that the paper and metal with the dead presidents on them or the small plastic cards and the 1s and 0s they represent in some computer bank account can be the source of so many problems and pain in our lives? Money, whether you have none or a ton, can hurt – it can control us, disrupt us, and destruct us, but it doesn’t have to… Jesus talked about money all the time, not because he needed it for a jet, but because he knew that the people around him needed help with how they have a healthy relationship with it. Makes sense that we’d do the same as church together.

This Is Your Money. This is about YOUR life, and whether you’ve ever thought about it or not, that means not letting your life be your money’s. It’s not as easy as you think to keep your money serving you rather than you serving it. It never has been, that’s why Jesus, Socrates, Confucius and others spent a lot of time talking about it. It’s time to take a good look at where it comes from, what it has to do with your life and what its purpose is.

There is a money trap we ALL get caught in. No mistaking it, the trap clamps shut on us with the belief that more is better and less is worse. Really? Then why does the billionaire still try to earn more money and the social worker making $21K goes home and loves life with her kids? ‘How much’ defines our unhealthy real and ideal financial situations, but what defines healthy real & ideal finances? And how do we get there?

It's easy to be broke, but God doesn't want you to be. What God wants broke is the grip your money has on you. God never intended anyone's wealth and resources to be chains. God wants them to be blessings. Once you've broken those old chains and got your budget and debt under control it is time to focus on the positive task, the fun part: what all that money was there for in the first place! Just think about it, money that doesn't take you down, but to a whole new level!
